Yerevan is a city of contrasts. Established millenniums before yet left with almost no antiquities, with tall buildings scraping the sky in the stead of historical buildings and plants, with damaged buildings hiding in the suburbs, rich with museums and with the past under destruction. And of course monuments, streets, museums and people - so different and dear. Which one is Yerevan, what is it like away from pink songs and festive days, with its daily, palpitating life? How is it in the sketches? Hayk Hambardzumyan spoke about these issues with painter Zakar Demirchyan.
