On the Feast of the 12 apostles of Christ and St. Paul the Apostle, the pilgrims gathered at the Holy Trinity Church in Yerevan were unexpectedly joined by Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II, who talked about the sacrament of the day and of our love for Christ at all times.
On June 30, the Feast of the 12 Apostles and St. Paul the Apostle, a Divine Liturgy was offered in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, and the praises of the apostles’ life were raised.
On the Feast of the 12 apostles of Christ and St. Paul the Apostle, by the initiative of the Christian Education Center, the students of Etchmiadzin “Hratch and Suzanne Toufayan” Armenian Youth Center presented a concert in front of St. Trdat open altar. The children of the city and nearby villages were also participating in the celebration, which painted the area adjacent to the Open altar with their chalk drawings. The feast of the Holy Apostles was interpreted by Archimandrite Zakaria Baghumyan for those present. The Catholicos of All Armenians also joined the event.
On June 30, members of the parish community from different dioceses of the Armenian Church, pilgrims and their spiritual leaders arrived early in the morning to receive the paternal blessing of Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II. The pontiff accepted hundreds of pilgrims from Shirak, Gegharkunik, Gugark, Tavush and Syunik dioceses. The Armenian pontiff gladly mentioned that the unselfish love and dedication of the dioceses to the Armenian spiritual center are unshakable. Karekin II urged the pilgrims to remain steadfast in faith, to keep families strong, national cultural institutions - vibrant, schools and churches - enlightened.
Every summer, after the end of the academic year, students and teachers of the Gevorkyan Spiritual Seminary go to one of the sacred places in Armenia.
This year, the students selected Tavush border region.
The students of the Gevorkyan Spiritual Seminary will spend their summer holidays as well in our church dioceses of Armenia and Diaspora. This opportunity is given every year to the distinguished students of the school.
Works by Izabella Keyan and Ashkhen Kirakosyan are currently displayed at the foyer of Gevorkian Seminary. The youth are the regular participants of the exhibition "Creating Hands".
Under the presidency of Catholicos of All Armenians a Pedagogical meeting of the educational institutions of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin is being held at the end of each semester.
This year it was held on July 2.
