The perception and meaning of external beauty is changing in romantic and realist literature, as well as in modern literature. The description of the appearance in literature almost disappears, but literary charms still exist. The beauties of Armenian literature continue to be discussed by literary critics Hayk Hambardzumyan and Arkmenik Nikoghosyan.
