On the balance sheet of the Armenian Patriarchate of Constantinople in 1914, there were more than 200 monasteries and 1600 churches. Most of the temples were destroyed, many were turned into mosques and inns. Until 1960, they tried to eliminate the evidence of the existence of Armenians in Turkey. Photos of the monuments of Ani, Van, Khtskonk, Horomos and other settlements, taken at the beginning of the 20th century, were presented in the Museum of History.
