Voices of Tatev


“One day in autumn we came to the Church and the proest suggested us singing in the choir. We had a hard time to agree with him, then we went to watch the rehearsal. Now we can’t imagine our life without Choir, it is our life”.
Children’s Choir of Tatev Monastery is famous not only in Tatev, but also beyond its borders. The Choir established in 2007 needed support, therefore it was included in the scope of the project Tatev Revival of IDeA Foundation. “The song of a child is a prayer – pure and powerful”, - says the priest of Tatev Monastry Rev. Fr. Mikayel.

The Murmaid


“I feel more freedom when in water that on the land”, - says Margarita Hovakimyan, a swimmer. It never occured to Margarita attending swimming classes for rehabilitation purposes that she would become a swimmer. In 2010 Margarita Hovakimyan she won two silver medals at Russian Swimming Championship for Disabled held in Tyumen, Russia. Later she participated in London Paralympics. At present, Margarita no longer attends swimming classes because of financial issues…

New Year Cousine


The “Cross of Armenian Unity” is one of the first non-governmental organizations of independent Armenia. It allows the children and youth of vulnerable groups to master various crafts and arts on free basis through disclosing and developing their skills. The organization especially takes pride in its national kitchen group. The children attending the classes cook traditional Armenian dishes and celebrate the New Year in the way they used to do in older times.

Gor Baghdasaryan


Gor Baghdasaryan shoot his first film when he was 12. Since then, Gor finds solution to many issues with the help of films. His goal is not only to shoot a good film, but also to support people with them. Together with his brother, Mushegh Baghdasaryan, he established Manana Films Production. Gor is proud to have their company operating in Armenia and he believes that film production has prospects in Armenia.

She has established animal lovers “Dingo” Team to organize adoption of street animals, medical treatment of sick dogs etc. This voluntary work brings happiness to Ovsanna, any positive change is the biggest success of the activity she initiated.

Ambassador of Children in Armenia


Mario Matus came to Armenia as a result of circumstances: his wife got an assignment of Ambassador of Brazil to Armenia. By the councel of one of his friends, Mario Matus visited Kharberd Specialised Orphanage, came to understand the issues children face and started seeking solutions. Owing to his efforts, many of the children can now talk, see, move independently, and they even learnt reading and writing. “This state that the children are in, is not because they chose to be, but they are there by a twist of fate. Therefore, we should do everything possible and impossible to improve their lives”.

Karen Derdzyan


The hero of our program is Karen Derdzyan, eco-businessman. Eco Pub is the first place in Armenia where smoking is forbidden and ecologically clean food and beverages are served. Before opening the Eco Pub, Karen was importing ecologically clean lighting systems. Apart from being an eco-businessman, Karen is also a big fan of audio books. He established the company "Audio Book" in Armenia as a result of the lack of quality audio books. At present, owing to this company, the "Fire in the Refinery" by Shirvanzade, "Our Xenomania" by Hakob Paronyan and other literature are available.
