Feast of the Holy Translators in the Armenian Diocese of Georgia


According to the 2021 Liturgical Calendar, the Armenian Church celebrates the feast of the Holy Translators on October 09. This national-ecclesiastical holiday was celebrated with a variety of events in the Armenian Church Diocese of Georgia.

The new academic year has started in the educational and cultural centers of the Armenian Diocese of Georgia


The academic year in Georgia returned to normal only in October, and the educational and cultural centers operating under the auspices of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia were able to receive their students. Such diocesan centers operate in Batumi, Rustavi, Ninotsminda, Akhalkalaki and Akhaltsikhe.

An exhibition-sale of works by artists and puppet makers was organized in the "Hayartun" Center of the Armenian Diocese of Georgia. Proceeds will be transferred to the renovation Foundation of the Mother Cathedral of Holy Etchmiadzin.

On June 24, a festive liturgy was celebrated in the Holy Etchmiadzin Church of Havlabar on the occasion of the memory of the Holy Translators Sahak Partev and Mesrop Mashtots.

The newly appointed vicar of the Armenian Diocese of Georgia, Rev. Fr. Archimandrite Kirakos Davtyan, offered his first liturgy in the St. Gevork Church in Tbilisi. 
 
 

Vardaton in the Armenian Diocese of Georgia


On May 30, the Vardaton dedicated to Sayat Nova started from the house No. 18 on Amaghleba Street. The march from Hovhannes Tumanyan's apartment reached to St. Gevork, reminding the residents of Tbilisi of the memory of Sayat-Nova, a singer of friendship of people born in this city.
