Second stage of the program “One Postcard – One Apartment” completed


This time, within the scope of the program “One Postcard – One Apartment”, the youth of St. Yotverk (seven wounds) Church of Shirak Diocese sold around 13000 postcards. The raised funds were used to purchase an apartment for the family of Artyom Poghosyan, who has a third degree disability.

Concert dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Mkhitar Sebastatsi Educational Complex


The students of Mkhitar Sebastatsi Educational Complex met the guests at the entrance of Komitas Chamber Music House of Yerevan to accompany them to the concert exhibition “Fine Arts at the Educational Complex”. The night was dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Educational Complex. For the first time, the ensemble Maracas (Shrkhkan) gave a performance.

The results of “Grabar (Old Armenian) Days 2014” initiativewere finalized at Araratian Patriarchal Prelacy. This initiative was commenced three months ago, within the scope of the Feast of Translators. A number of events, readings of texts in Grabar, video courses of Grabar were held in a number of high schools in Yerevan.

Requiem Service to the memory of 1988 earthquake victims offered in Gugark Diocese


Gugark Diocese commenced the commemoration events of the victims of 1988 Spitak earthquake from Spitak city. The service was offered in St. Harutyun Church.
A Requiem Service was also offered in Martyrs Park of Vanadzor Holy Mother of God Church at the memorial-khachkar dedicated to the memory of earthquake victims.

From November 24-28, 9th Session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage took place in Paris. Our country also applied to it. The discussion of “Lavash: Making of the Traditional Bread, its Significance and Cultural Expressions in Armenia” was held in the National Gallery of Armenia.
