New concert series of the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra was launched with a concert of invited artists: the stage was hosted by James Peng Liu and Katharina Treutler.

 

On October 13, Gevorkian Theological Seminary hosted students from the Yerevan State University. Ahead of the Translators' Day, the Cultural Center of the Mother University and the Faculty of Romance and Germanic Philology have initiated a three-day translation festival. The ceremony of summarizing the results of the competition and awarding the diplomas was organized at the Komitas Hall of the Seminary.

 

The seminary students studying in Calcutta tell stories about difficulties of studying far from their homeland, ways to overcome them, their goals and their dreams.

 

The compositions of Michael Harutyunyan are now available in one album.  Michael is only 20 years old, but he has managed to have three individual exhibitions, winn a number of contests. The album of the painter was published in the Publishing house of the Mother See. 

 

New Year and Christmas were celebrated on January 13 in Vaskenian Theological Seminary with the traditional ceremony of Kaghandchek, The students of Seminary undergraduates were getting prepared to this day from the onset of the academic year; they had recollected and recorded all humorous episodes.

 

A festive cross procession commenced from the central square of Artashat. October 21 was the Feast of the Holy Evangelists. Guided by the clergy, the multitudes of believers moved toward the St. John the Evangelist Church.

 

These days, 46 writers from 17 countries are taking part in the 6th forum of Armenian writers of Diaspora, writing in Armenian or in foreign languages. On October 10, the Catholicos of All Armenians received the participants of the conference at the Mother See.

“The stage is my best friend. When you make a mistake, it kind of tells me, you know, you did this wrong, then I think it over to myself, I try to correct it, become better and stronger”, says Mary, a student in Machanents Theatre. During the program, Mary and her friends reveal their favorite images, talk about the specifics of acting in good or bad roles, as well as their relationship with the stage.
