Pontifical Divine Liturgy on the Feast of Holy Nativity and Theophany

On January 6, the Feast of Holy Nativity and Theophany, a Pontifical Divine Liturgy was celebrated in the Mother Cathedral by Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians. The ceremony was attended by the President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, the Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan, Chairman of the National Assembly Galust Sahakyan, other state officials, members of the Supreme Church Council, foreign diplomats accredited in Armenia, representatives of education, science and culture. 
This year the honor of bearing Pontifical Canopy was granted to Dr.Armen Charchyan, Chief Architect of the Mother See Ara Vardanyan, Merited Artist of Armenia Hrant Tokhatyan and Dr. Gevorg Madoyan. 

New Year night at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin

According to the established tradition, every New Year night a Pontifical wish is issued, when the Church prays for the peace and prosperity of Motherland to God. This year the ceremony of pomegranate blessing came to join the Pontifical New Year wish.

Fraternal visit of Karekin II the Catholicos of All Armenians to Vatican

From May 7-9, Karekin II the Catholicos of All Armenians paid a fraternal visit to Vatican. On May 7 the Armenian Patriarch had a meeting with the Pope Francis in the Apostolic Palace Library and invited the Pontiff of the Catholic Church to the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin in 2015 to commemorate the 100th years of the Armenian Genocide.
Under the presidency of Pope Francis and Catholicos Karekin II, a united prayer was extended from the Redemptoris Mater Chapel, for world peace.
On May 8, the Catholicos of All Armenians visited the Armenian Embassy at the Holy See accompanied by a delegation and had meetings with a number of officials.
The Patriarch of All Armenians visited St. Peter’s Basilica accompanied by a delegation, and later on he visited the cemetaries of the Popes Hovhannes XXIII and John Paul II recently canonized by the Catholic Church.
In front of the monument of St. Gregory the Illuminator, the Armenian Patriarch, a prayer was extended.

Patriarchal Divine Liturgy of the Holy Resurrection at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin

In 2014, on the Easter Day, Karekin II, the Catholicos of All Armenians and the celebrant of the Divine Liturgy, made an urge for peace in the presence of a number of foreign ambassadors and officials bringing their attentions on the crime against the peaceful population of Syria and Armenians in Kessab.

Aram Gharabekian

In 1996, after quitting the position of Lead Conductor of Boston Symphonic Orchestra, Aram Gharabekian returned Armenia. In his homeland, he was entrusted with the responsibility of combining Yerevan State Chamber Orchestra and Armenia State Chamber Orchestra to create one Orchestra. After a short while, the Orchestra assumed active role in the music life of the country. Armenian audience has a vivid memory of the concerts Aram Gharabekian organized. In 2014, January 11, the music world had a grave loss – sudden death of the renowned conductor happened in the United States.

Visit of Karekin II, the Catholicos, to the military hospital

On the eve of the Army Day, Karekin II, the Catholicos of All Armenians, visited one of the military hospitals inYerevan. The Supreme Patriarch toured some of the wards and the Department of ITAR which currently holds 6 patients. The Minister of Defense accompanied the Supreme Patriarch.

With Love and Faith

In 2013, the Holy Transfiguration Cathedral of the Armenian Diocese of New Nakhijevan and Russia was consecrated. Ruben Grigoryan is one of those benefactors residing in Moscow who provided crucial support to the construction activities of the Holy Transfiguration Cathedral. He is the CEO of Rutsog Invest. The Company assumed the construction works of the Church from 2006. In the film, the employees tell about the process of Church construction, their enthusiasm, and stimula of faith and success of overall initiative.
