On the occasion of the Pentecost, a festive Liturgy was served in St. Anna Church


The festive service was performed in St. Anna church by Rev. Fr. Vahram Melikyan. Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, Primate of the Diocese of Tavush, on the occasion of the Feast, noticed that the coming of the Pentecost should not only be perceived as a historical event, but also that the presence and power of the Holy Spirit should be used as a guide in everyday life. The Archbishop described the confused and lonely state of mind of the apostles after the resurrection, before the apparition.

Armenia and Azerbaijan in international courts


The Institute of Armenian Studies has organized a scientific conference "Genocide and ethnic cleansing in the 21st century". The first report was on "The legal essence of the concepts of ethnic cleansing and genocide in the context of Azerbaijani crimes against Armenians". According to international law specialist Levon Gevorgyan, the depopulation of Artsakh is a crime against humanity and a continuation of the genocidal policy implemented by Turkey at the beginning of the 20th century. The speaker especially stressed the reckless mentality of canceling Armenia's lawsuits against Azerbaijan in the international courts these days within the framework of the supposed peace process. Outside the international judicial processes, the Armenian question is nothing more than textbook material. It is very important to formulate a demand for one's own authorities not to withdraw from judicial proceedings.

On the morning of January 6, the bells of Saint Gregory the Illuminator Cathedral in Yerevan signaled the beginning of the patriarchal liturgy. The Patriarch of the Armenian Church celebrated the liturgy of the feast of the Nativity and Theophany, performed the order of Blessing of the Water. Patriarch of All Armenians addressed the entire nation, encouraged and gave hope to his children forcibly displaced from Artsakh. "Summit" international contemporary dance festival in Yerevan


The "Summit" festival program includes modern dance, physical and visual theater productions, performances, master classes, lectures. The "Summit" international contemporary dance festival is being held in Yerevan on August 20-27 for the third year. Co-founders of the festival Hayk Vardanyan and ballet master Arman Balmanukyan spoke about the festival and the process of spreading modern dance in Armenia in "Artfocus". Pontifical Divine Liturgy for the Holy Nativity and Theophany of Our Lord Jesus Christ in St. Gregory the Illuminator Church in Yerevan


On January 6, the Armenian Apostolic Church celebrates the feast of the Holy Nativity. The Celebrant was the Catholicos of All Armenians at the Saint Gregory the Illuminator mother church in Yerevan. In his patriarchal message addressed to the faithful, the Patriarch of All Armenians best formulated the universal concerns and anxiety.  With special warmth, His Holiness addressed the besieged Artsakh citizens, encouraged and assured again that the Armenian Church will support Artsakh.

The Catholicos of All Armenians got acquainted with the restoration works of frescoes of the Cathedral


In the cathedral of Holy Etchmiadzin, along with other construction works, the works of re-installation and restoration of frescoes continue.  The Patriarch of All Armenians, accompanied by the  Grand Sacristan of the Mother See, His Grace Bishop Musegh Babayan, made an evaluation tour.

Patriarchal message of the Feast of the Glorious Resurrection of Jesus Christ


On April 17, the Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II offered the Glorious Resurrection Liturgy at the St. Gregory the Illuminator Cathedral in Yerevan. "The Feast of the Resurrection of Christ is a feast of the God’s infinite love for human beings, of victory over sin and death," conveyed His Holiness in the Patriarchal message.

Renovation of the Mother Cathedral of Holy Etchmiadzin


The project for the renovation and strengthening of the Mother Cathedral in 2013 is being agreed with UNESCO. The fresco restoration research center is beginning to study the temple frescoes.  In 2017  the construction work begins in the summer. In the film shot at the end of 2021, the head of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, the chief architect of the Mother See, and the author of the fresco restoration project represent the process of repairing the Holy Etchmiadzin, surprises, completed and expected works.

Clergy Conference in the Armenian Diocese of New Nakhichevan in Russia


Under the presidency of Archbishop Ezras Nersisyan, the annual two-day meeting of the clergy of the Armenian Diocese of New Nakhichevan in Russia took place in Moscow, which was attended by 40 priests from different parishes.
The arrival of the clergy coincided with the visit of the Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II to Moscow, during which the priests had the opportunity to meet and receive the blessing of His Holiness.
