During the Great Lent, from Monday to Friday, the Sunrise Service is held in early morning
That hour has the sacrament of Christ's Resurrection, because after the Resurrection, Jesus appeared to his disciples at that very hour. It is also at sunrise that the women bearing ointment visited the Lord's tomb and saw that He had risen. The hymns sung during the liturgy are dedicated to light, sunrise, and Christ, who symbolizes the path of life.
