The solemn opening of the new complex of the Residency


On September 18, under the presidency of Catholicos of All Armenians, in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, the solemn opening ceremony of the newly built hall of the Patriarchs Chapel and renovated Old Residency were held. The renovation and construction works of the cathedral complex were carried out with the donation of national benefactor Samvel Karapetyan and the Karapetyan family. Attending the ceremony were RA President Armen Sargsyan, RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, philanthropist Samvel Karapetyan, statesmen, diocesan leaders of the Armenian Church, members of the Mother See, members of the Supreme Council, AGBU President Perch Sedrakyan, philanthropic Armenians from different countries, President Joachim Gauck of the Federal Republic of Germany and other guests.
The ceremony started in the newly built  Patriarchs Chapel! Under the presidency of the Catholicos of All Armenians, the blessing of the whole Residency was performed.
 
 
 
 

Unheard voices


Young ethnographers conducted this study for publishing a scientific collection. They recorded an alternative story - the memories of common people. We were following them. “Unheard voices” would sometimes turn to camera, sometimes prefer to stay anonymous.

Vahram Papazyan


Robert Matosyan, the author of the film, film critic, script writer, presents the time period of screening “Vahram Papazyan” documentary, the motives and used materials. The dilm is preceded by the film (cameraman- Karen Mesyan, Yerevan Studio, 1984), which was not presented for decades now. The film contains unique documentary materials about Vahram Papazyan.

 

Ճանապարհ բացե'ք, Սարգիսն է գալիս


Դերասան Մեսրոպ Աբտոյանը 2006 թվականից խաղում է Ս.Սարգսի դերը: Տարիների ընթացքում դերը դարձել է ճակատագիր: Շատերը նրան հենց այդպես էլ դիմում են` Սարգիս: Այս տարի էլ Մեսրոպն իր սպիտակ ձիով կանցնի փողոցներով: Ս.Սարգսի դերի միջոցով դերասանն իր համար բացել է հոգևոր կյանքի դարպասները:

Եկեղեցին և Ցեղասպանության ճանաչումը


Ամեն տարի՝ ապրիլի 24-ին Հայ եկեղեցու մատուցվում է հատուկ Պատարագ: Այդ օրը հայ ժողովուրդն աղոթում է, որ ոչ մի տեղ այլրս չկրկվի նման ողբերգություն:
Ըստ Մովսես եպսկ Տեր-Մովսիսյանի կազմած ցուցակի՝ Եղեռնի ժամանակ թուրքերը ոչնչացրել են 22 հազար հայկական ձեռագիր: Հայոց մեծ ջարդին նահատակվեց 4000 հայ հոգևորական:
Համատարած մղձավանջի մեջ բոլորն իրենց հույսը կապում էին Մայր հայրենիքի, կաթողիկոսի միջամտության հետ: Գևորգ 5-րդ կաթողիկոսին վիճակված էր հայ ժողովրդին առաջնորդել ամենամռայլ մի ժամանակաշրջանում: Տարագիր հայությունը հավաքվեց եկեղեցու շուրջ: Հայահավաքն ու հայության կյանքը կազմակերպելը դարձավ Հայ եկեղեցու հիմնական առաքելությունը: Տարբեր երկրներում ապաստան գտած հայությունը եկեղեցական կառույցների միջոցով բողոքի ձայն էր բարձրացնում: Իսկ Խորհրդային Հայաստանում Ցեղսպանության մասին խոսքն ընկալվում էր որպես հայկական ազգայնամոլության քարոզ ու արգելվում:
1955թ. կաթողիկոս ընտրված Վազգեն Ա-ի գլխավորությամբ եկեղեցին քայլ առ քայլ նվաճում էր Եղեռնի մասին Խորհրդային հայաստանում հրապարակային խոսք հնչեցնելու իրավունքը: 1965թ. Հաայստանում առաջին անգամ պետականորեն նշվեց Եղեռնի 50-ամյակը: Մայր Աթոռում կանգնեցվեց հուշարձան:

Armenian Genocide: recognition and andretribution


Mass extermination of the Armenian nation living in the historical Armenia located in the territory of Ottoman Turkey, wa the first genocide of the 20th century. Regardless of the fact, that there is no lack of documentaries and evidence of the great genocide in 1915, no matter how evident is the impact of Armenian Genocide on the political and moral image of the world, nonetheless, Armenian nation still keeps fighting for the recognition and retribution of the Genocide. Patriarchal Divine Liturgy of the Holy Resurrection at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin


In 2014, on the Easter Day, Karekin II, the Catholicos of All Armenians and the celebrant of the Divine Liturgy, made an urge for peace in the presence of a number of foreign ambassadors and officials bringing their attentions on the crime against the peaceful population of Syria and Armenians in Kessab.

Chalk painting contest in the yard of St. Sarkis Church in Nork


On Palm Sunday, the members of Nork District Youth Center organized a contest of chalk painting in the yard of St. Sarkis Church. The results will be finalized on April 14.
