The collection of poems “Book of Rain” by the 20th century Arab poet Nizar Qabbani was first time published in Eastern Armenian.
The novel “The Mother” by Alexander Muradbekyan (later to be Khoren Muradbekyan, the Catholicos of All Armenians) was published.
The historian Stepan Stepaniants with the literary nickname Stepan Kertogh (the Creator) published his first noverl “Peace for Everyone”.

Donation of Christine Argyle to the National Gallery


On May 18, International Museum Day, the graphics works of 20th century renowned surrealist painters Salvador Dali, Wassily Kandinsky, Hans Bellmer were donated ti the National Gallery of Armenia.

“Museum Night” in A. Spendiaryan House-Museum and National Gallery of Armenia


The very first Museum Night was held in 1997, in Berlin. Over the years, this idea became common across all Europe, Argentine and Philippines. This is already the tenth time Armenia attends it. Our crew worked in A. Spendiaryan House-Museum and the National Gallery of Armenia.

“Dream” ballet fantasy new


On April 28, the Dream” ballet fantasy staged in the Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet was complete and updated. The author of sand animation that was on-going during the entire ballet was Manana Navasardyan. For the first time ever, the students of the College of Choreography were also given the opportunity of to perform on the stage of the Opera Theatre.

Pilgrimage day of Shurishkan Gospel


On the New Sunday, Shurishkan Gospel was brought out from the Mesrop Mashtots Matenadaran in Yerevan and, according to the tradition, taken to the St. Gevork Church of Mughni. Hundreds of people from various communities of Armenia arrived in Mughni to attend the Divine Liturgy and partake in the power of the Gospel.
