On the eve of the New Year our houses take a festive appearance. Some of us try to approach in a unique manner even the minutest details. How to decorate the New Year table beautifully? 

 

Deputy Minister of Culture Nerses Ter-Vardanyan finalized the events and program of 2015. 

 

The presented works are from the gallery funds, most of which is displayed for the first time ever. On the occasion of the jubilee exhibition the album-catalogue of Panos Terlemezyan’s paintings and graphics compositions was published. 

 

“International Artist Exchange Program”, “100 years – 100 artists”, exhibitions, concerts and such 11 initiatives organized by the Cultures in Dialogue in 2015. The press conference introduced the outcomes of these events and those planned for 2016. 

 

Every year the tournament is held to commemorate the Feast of St. Abgar, First Martyr of the Church. The tournament is organized by the members of Church Youth Union in assistance with the Chess Federation of Armenia. This time the tournament was led by International Master Vahagn Khachatryan.

 

On January 5, a Candlelight Divine Liturgy is celebrated in all Armenian churches. Our crew visited St. Anna and Zoravor Surb Astvatsatsin Churches of Yerevan. 

 

Another media-discussion organized within the scope of the initiative “Armenia and neighbors: in pursue of peace” of WCC Armenia Round Table Foundation was devoted to the Armenia-Turkey relations. 

Will the Armenia-Turkey relations develop regardless the recognition of the Armenian Genocide and the Karabakh conflict? Is the civil society capable of supporting the dialogue to happen? The topic is discussed by Pagrat Estukyan, editor of Armenian pages, Agos Daily and the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly for Foreign Relations Artak Zakaryan. 

 

Christmas is the most favorite holidays of the Christian world. How do we celebrate the Christmas, how do we perceive this spiritual feast and what’s our culture of celebrating the Christmas? The topic is discussed by Nvard Manasyan, professor, Chair of Sociology, Yerevan State University, Father Markos Mangasaryan and poet Vahe Arsen. 

By the initiative of Bishop Bagrat Galstanyan, the Primate of Tavush Marz, Children’s Choir was established in Ijevan city of Tavush Marz. 

 

The proceeds from charity concert “Donate Hope” dedicated to the decennary of Holy Trinity Church will be transferred to Vardges Pananyan who was disabled as a result of gunshot of the enemy in Martakert.
