Blessing of Teachers Service held on September 11 in the Mother See


On the occasion of the new 2020-21 Academic year, under the presidency of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; a Blessing of the Teachers service was offered at St. Trdat Open Air Altar of the Mother Cathedral.

The Publishing Department of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin has published the Armenian translation of the monograph entitled the “Introduction to Paul Science” by David Harley.

 

Priest Ordination on the Feast of the Exaltation of Holy Cross in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin


On September 13, the Feast day of Holy Cross, the sacrament of ordination and consecration of four priests was offered in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin during Divine Liturgy.

On September 16, the delegation led by the RA Prosecutor General Arthur Davtyan, the Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council Ruben Vardazaryan, Chairman of the RA Chamber of Advocates Ara Zohrabyan were hosted in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin by the Catholicos of All Armenians. The members of the delegation asked the Patriarch of All Armenians to set a day of blessing for lawyers.

The architects who restored the cathedral have discovered a tiled laying technology from the 4-5 centuries


During the fortification of the 4 corners of the Mother Cathedral of Etchmiadzin, the masters were confronted with the initial layers of the temple, dating 4th-5th centuries. The exposed tiled section showed a unique layout.

Catholicos of All Armenians Received the Heads of the Christian Education Center


On September 15, in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; hosted the 22 Heads of the Christian Education Center from the Capital and Regions. His Holiness informed about the upcoming meeting between the Subgroups on Educational Issues of the Mother See and ESCS Ministry, expressing hope, that as a result of the discussions, it will be possible to come to a favorable conclusion on educational reforms, including the concerns and suggestions raised related to the subject of the “History of the Armenian Church”.
