The "Mer Hooys" Nakashian Children's Home has been operating for ten years, under the auspices of the Mother See and through the support of the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church of America, the "Our Hope" Armenian charitable organization in the United States. The center is designed for females 8 to 18 years old.

The people of Lchashen want to restore the St. Hripsime Church of the village


There are many well-known ancient sites in Lchashen community of Gegharkunik region. However, the people of Lchashen are especially connected with the 7th century St. Hripsime Church. Now they are trying to find out if it is possible to restore the church.

The Catholicos of All Armenians participated in the "Christian Historical-Cultural Heritage of the People of the Armenian Highlands and Adjacent Territories" online conference. In his opening remarks, His Holiness stated that the Armenian monuments in Artsakh are now in great danger in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan, from physical destruction to misappropriation to erase the traces of Armenian history.

The last consecration service of Rev. Fr. Kyuregh Talyan, who died in a car accident on March 1 was offered in the St. Katoghike Church of Jrvezh. 

 

 

Major Garush Hambardzumyan's funeral in "Yerablur" military pantheon


The funeral ceremony of Major Garush Hambardzumyan, who was fatally wounded by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces on July 14, took place in the "Yerablur" military pantheon. RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Defense Minister Davit Tonoyan, members of the government, NA deputies, generals, officers, members of the Hambardzumyan family and relatives were in "Yerablur". The funeral ceremony was presided over by the Catholicos of All Armenians.

 

 

 

Feast of Transfiguration in the Mother See


On July 19, the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church celebrated the Feast of the Transfiguration of Our Lord Jesus Christ. On this occasion, in the St. Trdat open air Altar of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, under the presidency of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; a Divine Liturgy was celebrated. The Celebrant was the Grand Sacristan of the Mother See His Grace Bishop Hovnan Hakobyan.

On August 2, the Saint Mesrop Mashtots Church of Vazgen Sargsyan Military University was consecrated. Minister of Defense Mr. Davit Tonoyan was in attendance.
