113th anniversary of Hayrik Muradyan - the collector of folk songs, was celebrated in the backyard of his house. 

 

Three-day master classes of Armenian-German Music Union took place at Komitas Chamber Music House of Yerevan attended by Maria-Elisabeth Lott, professor of Detmold Conservatory. All participants of the project took part in the final concert of master classes performing compositions of Armenian and foreign composers. 

 

Few people know that painter Hakob Kojoyan was also a cartographer. It is owing to him that today we have three maps of Sardarapat battle. The Museum of Ara Sargsyan and Hakob Kojoyan organized an event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the first Armenian Republic and the Battle of Sardarapat.

The second book of Geronimo Stilton was translated from Italian. 

 

On the Museum Night, our crew visited Komitas Museum-Institute.

 

International forum of theatrical figures of CIS, Baltic countries and Georgia was held in Yerevan.

 

A collective exhibition in the Artists’ Union dedicated to the 2800th anniversary of Yerevan city.

 

The children were presented with a fairy taleby the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Armenia.

On May 17, A. Spendiaryan Opera and Ballet Theatre showcased “Arshak II” operea of Tigran Tchoukhajian. The performance was dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the opera. Special guest singers of the theatre were Barsegh Tumanyan and Ruben Telunts arriving upon the invitation of Artistic Director of the Theatre Konstantin Orbelyan.

 

“Arar” Choir is six years old. On May 22, the Choir gave a concert at Komitas Chamber Music House. The compositions of Bach, Buxtehude, Zelenka, Komitas, Mansuryan, Yervand Yerkanyan, Edgar Hovhannisyan and other composers were played.
