This year, “KIN” Women's International Film Festival was held from November 14 to 18. Out of 500 applications only 60 films were selected. The movie fans were given the opportunity to watch British and Canadian festival films.

On February 13, the residents of Ashtarak city were celebrating the birth and death day of Catholicos Nerses Ashtaraketsi (of Ashtarak). The day coincided with the Eave of Tearnyndaraj. 

 

Playground-shelter was opened in Paravakar village. This is the third playground-shelter designed for children that was opened in Tavush Marz.

 

Tigran Mansurian's Requiem was awarded the grand prize of the International Classical Music Competition in Luxemburg in the category “Contemporary Music”. 

 

Annual contest in the Writers’ Union: distinguished individuals in the areas of poetry, prose, dramaturgy, publicity won prizes. 

Joint concert , of the State Chamber Orchestra of Armenia and Haiou Zhang 

33 years ol Chinese piano Haiou Zhang is in Armenia. On February 15, he performed with the Chamber Orchestra in Komitas Museum Institute. 

 

The program “Arar” of the Ministry of Culture kicked off in over fifty communities of Armenia. The participants will learn folk crafts. 

 

In the winter of that year, tens of thousands of people died of starvation and disease, and dozens of factories were opened months later, with a number of vital infrastructures, cultural institutions, universities and the State Museum. Even the national currency was established. Inside the country, non-Armenian population constantly incited new provocations against the state. The Armenian army was able to stop these provocations.
