The construction of St. Astvatsatsin Chapel next to Arabkir Park was finalized. Father Babken Hayrapetyan blessed the Chapel and the nearby cross-stones.

Official consecration ceremony was held on July 2.

From now on the children of Tairov village will have an opportunity to attend a newly refurbished kindergarten owing to the support of Armen Terteryan Charity Fund, Armenian Businessmen Union of Germany and Parakar village administration.  The benefactors are long-time friends with Bishop Anushavan Zhamkochyan, Dean of Theology Faculty in Yerevan State University, with whom he made friends when he was studying in Germany.  

 

Catholicos of All Armenians received senior members of Knights of Vartan organization, which is functioning in the US, headed by senior Sparapet of the organization Gary Zamanigian, at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. The guests were accompanied by the clergy of the Mother See Archbishop Paren Avetikyan, who, among other high ranking clergymen, used to be a member of the organization. 

 

In one of the military units of the Ministry of Defense an open-air Divine Liturgy was offered by the Chaplain of air defense army Father Koryun Karapetyan. 

 

The novelette of Narine Abgaryan “Three Apples Fell from Heaven” was translated into Armenian for the first time. In 2016 this work was awarded “Yasnaya Polyana” Russian literary prize.
