Members of the St. Gregory the Illuminator Mother Church community planted more than 100 trees on the church grounds


The faithful learned about the tree planting at the end of the liturgy, and some of them from the Internet. There were families who, upon learning about the church's initiative, decided to purchase a sapling and have their memorial tree in the area adjacent to the church. In this way, the thuja and rose bushes on both sides of the steps leading to the church were also planted.

The Armenian Relief Fund of the Eastern Diocese of the US is implementing a new healthcare program


High blood pressure and disease management methods were studied in the communities of Byurakan and Khndzoresk. Based on the results of the arterial hypertension program, interventions will be implemented following the guidelines of the World Health Organization, which sets out the strategy for the prevention and control of cardiovascular diseases. Doctors and nurses from the communities of Byurakan and Khndzoresk have been trained.

On the occasion of the Median Day of Lent, the youth of the Araratian Pontifical Diocese gathered at the residence


The members of the youth unions of the Araratian Pontifical Diocese set a table with Lenten food and Median Day gatas. After the prayer and blessing of the Primate of the Diocese, Archbishop Navasard Kchoyan, they shared the gata, which contained not a coin, but a blessed cross wrapped in foil, so that whoever received it would not lack success during the year. The Armenian Relief Fund has paid the tuition fees of 50 medical workers forcibly displaced from Artsakh


The Armenian Relief Fund Armenia office, established in the Eastern Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in the Northern America has paid the tuition fees of 50 medical workers forcibly displaced from Artsakh. Some of them have completed clinical residency training, while others have been enrolled in shorter-term educational programs. Within the framework of the program to support doctors forcibly displaced from Artsakh, the medical workers have acquired fresh professional knowledge and the opportunity to work in Armenia. The Armenian Relief Fund has collaborated with the Ministry of Health, the National Institute of Health, and Yerevan State Medical University in implementing the program.
 

Doctors will perform ultrasound examinations at the scene using devices attached to phones


The Armenian Relief Fund of the Eastern Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America, together with specialists from the Harvard Medical School Hospital and the Department of Cardiology of the Yerevan State Medical University, organized the 2nd workshop on “Ultrasound in Emergency Situations.” The first course was organized in 2022, and was attended by about 20 doctors from Yerevan, the regions of Armenia, and Artsakh. The course is intended for emergency medicine specialists, cardiologists, and resuscitators and includes distance preparatory and on-site intensive training.

 

On the Eve of Great Lent, a liturgy was served in the half-built St. Mesrop Church in the Erebuni community


The spiritual pastor of the church, Rev. Father Ghukas Balayan, celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the hut. Some of the faithful participated in the sacred ceremony in the yard. St. Mesrop Church houses carpet weaving and English groups, as well as a Sunday school.
 

The permanent exhibition of Armenian painting at the National Gallery of Armenia has reopened


This year marks the 165th anniversary of the birth of the renowned artist and intellectual Vardges Surenyants. Surenyants was born in 1860, into the family of the elder priest Hakob. The works of Vardges Surenyants and other prominent Armenian artists of the 18th-20th centuries are exhibited at the National Gallery of Armenia. After renovation, the permanent exhibition of Armenian art has reopened.

An exhibition titled "The Art of Blooming" opened at the Matenadaran


The authors are students of the Yerevan Matenadaran's "Art of Blooming" miniature painting studio, who meet once a week. They study what blooming is, what miniature painters bloomed in the Middle Ages, get acquainted with the history of miniature painting, preserved manuscripts, and the works of the Matenadaran.

Students of the Gyumri Youth Center were recognized as winners of the Kremlin Mkrtchyan International Tournament


Melania Sargsyan and Anna Shahbazyan, students of the Gyumri Youth Center, took 1st place. The Gyumri Youth Center of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin has art and sports classes. There are currently 230 students in nine classes.
The Youth Center was opened in 2014 under the patronage of His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians. The benefactor is Sandra Lightner.

22 Spiritual servants were awarded on the occasion of the feast of St. Sarkis at the Araratian Pontifical Diocese


For ten consecutive years, with the blessing of the Patriarch of All Armenians and the initiative of Archbishop Navasard Kchoyan, on the occasion of the feast of St. Sarkis, a ceremony of awarding and encouraging servicemen and spiritual servants has been held at the Primate's Office of the Araratian Pontifical Diocese. This year, the Primate's Office hosted the spiritual leader of the Armenian Armed Forces, Archbishop Movses Sargsyan, and the spiritual servants.
 

The relic-bearing right hand of Warrior Sarkis was taken to the St. Sarkis Church in Ashtarak


For the first time, under the patriarchal direction of His Holiness the Catholicos of All Armenians and with the blessing of Bishop Mkrtich Proshyan, Primate of the Aragatsotn Diocese, the relic-bearing right hand of the commander Sargis was taken from the Mother See to the St. Sargis Church in Ashtarak. At the end of the liturgy and until the end of the feast, the pilgrims of the St. Sargis Church in Ashtarak had the opportunity to commune with the sacredness and receive the blessing emanating from it.
