A blessing service was performed in the Ministry of Social Development and Migration of the Republic of Artsakh. The Home-blessing order is also performed in institutions.

Home-Blessing Service in Artsakh


A Home-blessing service is held twice a year in the Andreasyan'a family from Shushi. The service is always performed by the same priest, Rev. Father Andreas Tavadyan, who is also from Shush and is the Spiritual Pastor of the Holy Saviour Church in Shushi. Now he serves in some churches of the Askeran region. Mrs. Gohar lives in Stepanakert with her family on rent.

A liturgy was offered in Saint Stepen Church of Khachen village of Artsakh


On December 26, on the feast of St. Stepen Proto-Deacon, the St. Stepen Church in Khachen village of Artsakh was crowded. On the occasion of the feast, all the deacons of Artsakh Diocese were congratulated by His Grace Bishop Vrtanes Abrahamyan.

Ordination in the Artsakh Diocese


On November 13, the first priestly ordination took place in Stepanakert Cathedral. Dn. Gor Gyurjyan, Spiritual Servant and Director of the Christian Education and Propaganda Center of the Diocese of Artsakh was called to the priesthood by His Grace Bishop Vrtanes Abrahamyan, Primate of the Artsakh Diocese, and was re-named Rev. Fr.  Vachagan.

860 children attend Sunday school in the Diocese of Artsakh


On October 1, with the blessing of His Grace Bishop Vrtanes Abrahamyan, Primate of the Diocese of Artsakh, a number of children had their first lesson in the newly opened Sunday schools of the Diocese of Artsakh.

Appointments of clergy in state structures of Artsakh -Rev. Fr. Nerses


Rev. Fr. Nerses Asryan, Pastor of the Stepanakert Cathedral, has been appointed as Spiritual Advisor and servant to the Minister of Internal Affairs. Prior to that, Father Nerses served in the Ministry of Defense for 7 years as Spiritua Servant.

Feast of Pentecost in Hakobavank of Artsakh


Feast of Pentecost was celebrated for the first time in the last century in Hakobavank. On June 5, the Primate of the Artsakh Diocese, His Grace Bishop Vrtanes Abrahamyan, offered a liturgy, which was attended by the President of the Republic of Artsakh, the locals, the people of Kolat, and pilgrims.

Feast of Ascension in St. Hambardzum Church in Berdzor


In the only church of the Artsakh Diocese named St. Hambardzum, the festive liturgy was served by Father Beniamin Tsaturyan, the spiritual pastor of the sub-region from Patara to Khachen in the Askeran region.

May 9 in Artsakh


On May 8, the Fourth Sunday (Red Sunday), Rev. Fr. Archimandrite Movses Sargsyan, Head Chaplain of the Republic of Armenia Armed Forces Ministry offered a Divine Liturgy in the Holy Mother of God Church in Stepanakert. A Prayer for the Republic was held. On May 9, at 11:00 am, a minute of Silence was declared in the Artsakh Republic in memory of the victims of the Great Patriotic War and in the three Artsakh wars. A cross-march started from the Mother cathedral under the leadership of Cross of King Ashot the Iron , the guard of the Armenian Army.

Covenant Liturgy in Amaras


On the day of remembrance of the first church, Green Sunday, the Amaras monastery was crowded. Many people from Armavir, led by Rev. Fr. Tachat Injighulyan, also took part in the pilgrimage.  The Holy Liturgy was offered by the Primate of the Armavir Diocese, His Eminence Archbishop Zion Adamyan, presided over by the Primate of the Artsakh Diocese, His Grace Bishop Vrtanes Abrahamyan.
