The Armenian Apostolic Church celebrated the feast of the Holy Etchmiadzin


The Holy and Immortal Liturgy was celebrated under the presiding authority of His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians. His Holiness, the clergy and the faithful prayed for the stability and eternal radiance of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. Amid the sounds of the Patriarchal greeting, His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians, distributed a blessing to the people gathered at the Mother See on the occasion of the feast of the Catholicos of Holy Etchmiadzin.

 

An event titled “The Story of a Carpet” was held at the Arabkir Armenian Children’s Home


Araks Mansuryan, Shushan Petrosyan, Anna Mayilyan, Ara Gevorgyan, Samvel Sevada, David Amalyan, Armen Amiryan, Vazgen Yakubyan, and magician Vardan Amiryan helped the students of the Arabkir Armenian Children’s Home weave carpets. The students of the carpet and rug class and the guests held a master class, presenting their experience and knowledge.
 

The Armenian Apostolic Church celebrated the day of remembrance of John the Baptist and Bishop Athanasius


Thursday is the day of remembrance of the bishops of the Shoghakat Church, John the Baptist and Saint Athanasius. Their relics were brought to Armenia by Gregory the Illuminator. In front of the Arch of Gregory the Illuminator, the Patriarch of All Armenians blessed the people with the relic of John the Baptist and handed it over to the rector of the Mother See, Bishop Anania Tsaturyan. The church procession transported the sacred relic from the Mother Cathedral of Holy Etchmiadzin to the Holy Shoghakat Church.

 

Nork Armenian Children's Home Students Present Children's Circus Show at Tashir Arena


At Tashir Arena, the students of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin and AGBU Nork Armenian Children's Home presented a synthesis of art, with the Circus School, the "Narek" dance ensemble, and the "Armenner" percussion ensemble performing simultaneously. The Gevorg Ginosyan Armenian Children's Home Circus School has performed concerts and tours in the United States, Canada, Italy, France, Beirut, and Turkey.
 

On the occasion of the 55th anniversary of Archbishop Bagrat, the song "My Homeland" written by him and David Amalyan was performed


An evening entitled "The Triumph of Light" was held in the hall of the Masis Music School, dedicated to the 55th anniversary of Archbishop Bagrat. The Archbishop celebrated the anniversary in illegal imprisonment. The Archbishop's supporters, intellectuals and artists who appreciated his activities gathered.
 

43 Graduates Graduate from Eurnekian Secondary School This Year


The 43 graduates of Eurnekian Secondary School have overcome academic difficulties, many of whom have passed university entrance exams and been accepted to Armenian and international universities. This is the 17th generation of Eurnekians graduating from the school. Eurnekian Secondary School was founded by His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians. The school building was built under the patronage of Argentine-Armenian businessman and philanthropist Eduardo Eurnekian and bears his name.
 

Episcopal ordination and anointing to be performed by Catholicos of All Armenians


On May 24, during the Holy and Immortal Liturgy, Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II will perform episcopal ordination and anointing. The rank of bishop will be conferred on the vicar of the Gegharkunik Diocese, Archbishop Isahak Poghosyan, the vicar of the Masyatsotn Diocese, Archbishop Ruben Zargaryan, the vicar of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, Archbishop Anania Tsaturyan, and the director of the Evangelization Center of the Mother See, Archbishop Zakaria Baghumyan.
 

Episcopal ordination and consecration by the Catholicos of All Armenians


The Vicar of the Diocese of Gegharkunik, Bishop Isahak Poghosyan, the Vicar of the Diocese of Masyatsotn, Bishop Ruben Zargaryan, the Vicar of the Diocese of Masyatsotn, Bishop Anania Tsaturyan, and the Director of the Evangelization Center of the Mother See, Bishop Zakaria Baghumyan, were ordained bishops by the Catholicos of All Armenians, His Holiness Karekin II. During the pontifical liturgy, His Holiness prayed for the ordinations, asking the Holy Spirit for graces to be true shepherds. In the coming days, the newly consecrated bishops will celebrate the liturgies of the ordination in the Mother Cathedral.

The Catholicos of All Armenians congratulated them on their episcopal elevation and wished them a fruitful mission for the glory of the Holy Apostolic Church and the building of the Fatherland. His Holiness urged the Holy Fathers to keep their vows, to make every effort to strengthen the national-spiritual life, and to inspire faith and hope in the people. After the ordination and consecration, Bishop Zakaria Baghumyan celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Mother Cathedral.
 

Republican Wishes Held at Mother Cathedral on the Occasion of the Holiday


On the occasion of the Republic Day, a Republican wish was held at the Mother Cathedral under the presiding authority of His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians. The clergy and the faithful prayed for the stability, peaceful and secure life of the Republic of Armenia. After the Republican wish, Bishop Ruben Zargaryan celebrated the first episcopal liturgy in front of the Holy Table of the Descent in the Mother Cathedral of the Nativity. His Holiness was ordained and consecrated by the Armenian Patriarch last Sunday, on the feast of Pentecost.
 

The Armenian Apostolic Church celebrated the feast of the Hripsime Virgins


The Patriarch of All Armenians blessed the clergy and the pious people at the Arch of St. Gregory the Illuminator with the relic of the Virgin Hripsime. On the occasion of the feast, a Holy and Immortal Liturgy was served at the Holy Hripsime Monastery. At the end of the liturgy, the Order of the Family was performed with the relic of the saint. This feast marks the start of the Araratian Week.
 

Students of Youth Center Celebrated the Feast of the Hripsime Virgins and Children by Drawing, Singing and Playing


On the Feast of the Hripsime Virgins, students of the Youth Center of Yerevan, Ashtarak and Echmiadzin, under the leadership of the spiritual director, Father Harutyun Kirakosyan, together with the spiritual ministers of the institutions and educators, celebrated the church holiday and the International Day for the Protection of Children. They placed drawing supplies, chess boards, carpet weaving looms, various handicraft supplies in the courtyard of the St. Hripsime Monastery and drew, crafted and sang. Later, the children went to Zvartnots Cathedral to see the architectural masterpiece, where the drummers of the Youth Center held a flash mob.
