Matenadaran Begins Restoration and Publicization of Manuscripts Written in Artsakh
The US Ambassador’s Fund for the Preservation of Cultural Assets has allocated $74,000 to Matenadaran for the restoration and publicization of exceptional documents. During the presentation of the project, the director of Matenadaran noted that the collection of Artsakh manuscripts has pan-Christian and global value. Manuscripts written and illustrated in Gandzasar, Dadivank, Gndevank, Khadavank, Gtchavank and medieval monasteries in Artsakh from the 13th to the 18th centuries have been selected. They are unique archival documents that shed light on the rich Armenian cultural heritage and historical passages.

The Establishment of the Nersisyan School
On the initiative of Catholicos Nerses Ashtaraketsi, the construction of a new school began in Tbilisi in 1822, and two years later the school opened with 2 classes and 20 students. Before the construction of the school, the Catholicos had already developed a detailed charter regarding the duration of studies, the duties of teachers, and the rules of conduct of students.

Two new priests have received cowl and joined the ranks of the Brotherhood of the Mother See
The service of Granting of the Cowl (Veghar) was officiated in the Mother See. Father Virap and Father Mashtots received the cowl and joined the ranks of the Brotherhood of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. The cowl is placed on the head of each novice as a symbol of the celibate priesthood. Celibate priests renounce married life, take a vow of celibacy, and live a monastic life. The black pointed headdress symbolizes the renunciation of worldly life and is one of the distinguishing marks of a celibate clergyman, as a sign of their vow and spiritual rank. The abbot takes the vow of celibacy on the evening of the day of ordination.

With the blessing of His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians, the ordination and anointing ceremony of the candidates took place during the Divine Liturgy in the Mother Cathedral. The Celebrant noted that the mission of a priest is to carry out his service to all the children of the people with dedication and love. The Celebrant touched upon the difficulties encountered during the spiritual service and urged the newly ordained priests to courageously bear their destined cross, relying on the power of the Lord.

During the ecumenical prayer, the spiritual fathers called on Azerbaijan to release the Armenian hostages
An ecumenical prayer was held at the Saint Yeghishe Armenian Church in London. Spiritual leaders, diplomats, activists and representatives of the Armenian community participated in the church ceremony. The Primate of the Armenian Diocese of the United Kingdom and Ireland, Bishop Hovakim Manukyan reminded that our compatriots are imprisoned in Baku only because they are Armenians.
During the ceremony, the messages of Cardinal Vincent Nichols and the Archbishop of Canterbury, other spiritual leaders, as well as the open letters of the families of the hostages were heard. Joining the Armenian people, the spiritual fathers called on the Azerbaijani authorities to release the Armenian hostages. The participants of the ceremony sent letters to the Armenian prisoners, putting olive branches symbolizing the end of the flood in the envelope.

In the Saint Nicholas Armenian Church in Rome, a prayer was heard for the servicemen illegally captured by Azerbaijan, military and political leaders of the Artsakh Republic and civilians. It was organized by the Pontifical Levonian Armenian College of Rome and the representation of the Armenian Apostolic Church in the Holy See. At their invitation, clergymen of various Christian denominations, ambassadors and diplomats accredited to Italy and the Vatican, as well as many Italian and foreign citizens participated in the inter-church prayer. The preacher was the representative of the Archbishop of Canterbury in the Holy See, Archbishop Ian Ernest.

Brazilian Armenians have joined the joint prayer for Armenian prisoners held illegally in Azerbaijan
Brazilian Armenians prayed for the protection of the rights of Artsakh Armenians in St. George Church of Sao Paulo, in particular, for the servicemen, civilians and representatives of the military and political leadership of the Republic of Artsakh who were kidnapped, captured by Azerbaijan and held illegally in Baku on trumped-up charges. The diocesan Primate emphasized that Artsakh was depopulated, the defense army was disarmed, Armenian temples and shrines were desecrated, many military personnel and civilians were captured.

The World Council of Churches spoke about the forced displacement of Artsakh residents
In Geneva, at the center of the World Council of Churches, a joint prayer was held at the call of the Catholicos of All Armenians. The ceremony was held in the Saint Pierre Cathedral in Geneva. The World Council of Churches invited people of good will to join the prayer for the sake of peace and the release of prisoners and support for the forcibly displaced. The Council issued a statement reminding of the 2020 war against Artsakh, the ten-month siege and the forced displacement of about 120,000 people.

The concert was initiated by the parish council of the Holy Archangels' Church.
The Enlightenment School Choir of Constantinople, under the direction of Hakob Mamikonyan performed. The ceremony was presided over by Patriarch Sahak II with the participation of the spiritual class of the patriarchate. The choir presented Komitas polyphonic songs. Tamar Eskenyan, a relative of Komitas, played the flute, shvi and duduk, and also sang.
