After the reconsecration of the Cathedral, the first episcopal ordination and consecration took place


The Catholicos of All Armenians was led in a church procession to the Cathedral to offer the Divine Liturgy and perform episcopal ordination. Four benefactors of the church were assisiting His Holiness. His Holiness was accompanied by the Armenian Patriarch of Constantinople and Archbishop Nathan Hovhannisyan. The Armenian Patriarch, with prayer and blessing, granted the seven degrees of the episcopal rank on the newly ordained, preached and instructed them to take care of Christ's flock, being faithful to the teachings of the church fathers and saints. Here, six bishops were given the omophorion, which is part of the episcopal vestment.

Pilgrims see a sacrament of unity in the blessing of the Holy Muron and the re-consecration of the Mother Cathedral


In order to take part in the ceremonies of the consecration and re-consecration of the church, pilgrim groups from each diocese included people who contributed to the life of the diocese, believers who, returning to their places of residence, will convey the love and blessing of Holy Etchmiadzin to their relatives and friends. They see a sacrament of unity and solidarity in participating in the ceremonies of the blessing of the Muron and the re-consecration of the Temple.

 

A group of around 50 people from the Armenian Patriarchate of Constantinople participated in the ceremonies


Pilgrims from Istanbul were excited and united on the occasion of blessing of the Holy Muron and re-consecration of the Temple. The believers who did not participate in the ceremonies are waiting for Archbishop Sahak's return of the group of 50 people, to receive the blessing and affection of the Mother See.

 

Medals were prepared on the occasion of the historic event of reconsecration of the cathedral


The highest order of honor was prepared on the occasion of the historical event of the re-consecration of the temple, under the direction of the Armenian Patriarch. For the first time, the Catholicos of All Armenians awarded these medals to benefactors at the reconsecration ceremony of the Cathedral. It was their donations that made the complete renovation and beautification of the Cathedral possible. The ladies of Barrera were also awarded with another, again newly established "Daughter of Holy Etchmiadzin" order.

 

On the Independence Day, the Diocese of Masyatsotn organized a pilgrimage to the White Monastery of Lajanist


The Primate of the diocese, the clergy and more than 120 young people walked for about 3 kilometers and overcame the difficulties of the road to reach the humble holy place dating back to the 13-14th century. The diocese often organizes pilgrimages to this humble church, the sanctuary of the Orbelian period in the springs of Holy Mother of God is mentioned, but because of its white color, people also called it Spitakavank. On the initiative of Masyatsotn Diocese, specialists of the Institute of Archeology have been conducting excavations in this area since 2021.
 

Archbishop Nathan Hovhannisyan received the members of Shushi's Varanda Choir at the Mother See


Before the concert to be held in Yerevan, the members of the choir received the Mother See's blessing. Veranda Choir is 32 years old. In the double list are works of spiritual, modern, classical, folk genres. During this period, more than 800 children, teenagers and young people from Artsakh participated in the choir for at least one year.

An office has been provided to Artsakh Diocese of the MSHE in Yerevan

A meeting of the Coordinating Committee for the re-consecration of the Mother Cathedral, the blessing of the Holy Muron and the organization of related events was convened at the Mother See under the chairmanship of Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians. On September 28, at 5:00 p.m., a ceremony of blessing of the Holy Muron will take place in the St. Trdat Open Air Altar open and the next day, September 29, at 10:30 a.m., the Mother Cathedral will be re-consecrated. The coordinating committee discussed in detail the program of ceremonies and related activities.
