On February 14, St. Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglov visited “Vernatun” Cultural Center of the Armenian Church on Nevsky Avenue to congratulate the Primate of the Armenian Diocese of Russia and New Nakhichevan on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of His Holiness in Russia for the services rendered.

 

40 paintings presented to the Armenian Church Museum in Moscow


From now on, the Museum of the Armenian Church in Moscow will exhibit the paintings of Yervand Kochar, Vahram Gayfejyan, Rudolf Khachatryan next to the works of Hovhannes Ayvazovski, Martiros Saryan, Gevorg Bashinjaghyan and Zhansem.

Relic of the Lord’s Cross in the Holy Cross Church of Samara


On May 26, Archbishop Yezras Nersisyan, the Primate of the Armenian Dioceses of Russia and Nor Nakhichevan paid a pastoral visit to Samara taking the Relic of the Lord’s Cross with him. The Armenians settled in Samara had the opportunity to touch the holy relic in the Holy Cross Church till late night and enjoy the grace it shed.

Choir of Gevorkian Theological Seminary perform in the Armenian Prelacy of Moscow


On February 5, “Etchmiadzin ”Choir of Gevorkian Theological Seminary gave a concert in the banquet hall of the Armenian Church of Moscow performing spiritual and secular songs. 

The Right Hand Reliquary of St. Gevork the Warrior was taken to Moscow from the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin


To meet the request of Archbishop Yezras Nersisyan – the Primate of the Diocese of Russia and Nor Nakhichevan, the right hand reliquary of St. Gevork the Warrior was taken from the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin by the blessing of Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians. On September 24, the commemoration day of the saint, the holy relic was taken to St. Gevork Chapel in Moscow for the worship of believers.

On October 8 the Primate of Russia and Nor Nakhichevan Archbishop Yezras Nersisyan consecrated the newly-constructed Armenian Church St. Harutyun in Tver, Russian Federation.

Candlelight and Sunday Divine Liturgy in Holy Transfiguration Church of Moscow


Vast number of Moscow-based Armenians took part in the Holy Resurrection Candlelight Divine Liturgy. Upon its completion, the clergy of the Armenian Diocese of Russia and Nor Nakhichevan headed by its Primate Archbishop Yezras Nersisyan blessed the Easter tables arranged in the backyard of the Holy Transfiguration Church Complex. A home blessing ceremony was held in the Prelacy. The Sunday Divine Liturgy was followed by the Love Dinner, while in the Museum “Arc” a miniature exhibition titled “Heritage of Holy Resurrection” was opened. Philanthropist Levon Hayrapetyan presented the self-portrait of Minas Avetisyan to the Church.
