Archbishop Ezras Nersisyan stated that Artsakh, although destroyed and desolate, is always with us. The Speaker of the National Assembly of Artsakh Ashot Ghulyan noted that the Armenian people are facing the danger of losing their homeland and must act unitedly against evil. He also spoke about the protection of the rights of the forcibly displaced Artsakh Armenians and prisoners held in Baku.

An intercessory service was held at Moscow's Holy Transfiguration Church under the leadership of the diocesan leader, Archbishop Ezras Nersisyan, with the prayerful presence of representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church, Assyrian, Roman Catholic and other religious organizations. The celebration began with the blessing of green branches, a symbol of life, hope and renewal. According to the Gospel story, the offering of olive and palm branches to the Lord symbolizes victory over death. Armenian youth in Russia express support for the Mother Church


About a hundred young people from different cities of Russia have arrived in Moscow to join the church's initiatives, meet with Archbishop Ezras Nersisyan, and express their support for the Armenian Apostolic Church. A scholastic ceremony was held at the Armenian Holy Transfiguration Cathedral in Moscow by the diocesan leader, Archbishop Ezras Nersisyan. 25 church-loving Armenians serving in the Armenian churches of Moscow, St. Petersburg, Vladivostok, Simferopol, Volgograd, Kirov, Yekaterinburg, Yaroslavl, Tambov, Nizhny Novgorod, and Rostov-on-Don received the degree of scholastic. 3 of them also received the right to wear the orarion.

The congregation members noted with sorrow the illegal persecution and arrests of Armenians who raised their voices in defense of the Church. In their opinion, what is Armenian and national is today facing the task of destroying. Archbishop Ezras Nersisyan consecrated the newly built church in Nakhodka


On August 24, a newly built Armenian church was consecrated and opened in Nakhodka by Archbishop Ezras Nersisyan, Primate of the Armenian Diocese of Russia and New Nakhichevan. The chapel, named after Saint Harutyun, is 24 meters high. It was built of pink tuff brought from Armenia.

Moscow celebrates the feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary


According to the order adopted in the Armenian Church, a blessing of grapes was performed on the feast of the Assumption. At the end of the Divine Liturgy, the procession of clergy, accompanied by the faithful, went out to the courtyard of the church complex, where a blessing of grapes was performed. An exhibition of documentary photographs and international press reactions to the Armenian Genocide of those days was opened at the "Tapan" museum, as undeniable evidence of the crimes of the beginning of the century.
