The bell of the Armenian church rang for the first time in Rubtsovsk, Russia. About 600 Armenians live in that city, who built the second Armenian church in the Altai region within eight years. The prayer house, built according to the rules of Armenian church architecture, is 25 meters high, with a bell tower. On October 6, His Eminence Archbishop Yezras Nersisyan performed the consecration ceremony of the church and named the prayer house after the soldier Saint Gevorg.

The education at St. Grigor Narekatsi College is 11 years long, operates according to the educational standards of the Russian Federation and is the only one in the region where the Armenian language, Armenian literature, and the history of the Armenian people are mandatory subjects of the curriculum.

After 105 years, Martiros Saryan's painting was exhibited for the first time in the Armenian Church in Moscow
On June 20, an exhibition of one of the paintings of the world-famous artist Martiros Saryan, almost unknown to the public, was opened in the "Tapan" Museum of the Armenian Church in Moscow. The author titled the painting painted in 1919 as "Red Horse".
At the request of His Eminence Archbishop Yezras, the painting was provided for a temporary exhibition by Valery Dudakov, with whom the museum cooperates and organizes exhibitions. Dudakov acquired the painting in the 1980s and never exhibited it.

A newly built Armenian church was consecrated in Ulyanovsk

The church was built with apricot-colour tuff brought from Armenia. It is located in the center of the city, next to the widest bank of the Volga River.
