This year marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of the Armenian poet Zahrat form Constantinople (Zareh Simon Yeldezjian). He was born on May 10, 1924 in the Nshantash district of Constantinople. His first poems were published in 1943. Later, he published “The Big City” (1960), “Colorful Borders”, “Good Sky”, “Poems”, “End to End” and other collections. His poems are characterized by the tragedy of a “small” person living in a big city, the diversity of themes, the originality of fresh expressions and humor. This TV film features excerpts from Zahrat’s poetry, in particular from the “Colorful Borders” series.
