Palm Sunday in Yerevan St. Zoravor Church


Father Vahan Heboyan, who was anointed 40 days ago in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, served his very first Divine Liturgy in Yerevan St. Zoravor Church. The clergy conducted the service Andastan, the Blessing of Four Corners of the Earth, and later – the blessing service of children.

Opening of the Doors Service (Drnbatsek) at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin


In the evening of Palm Sunday, during the Divine Liturgy, Opening of the Doors Service is offered. It is performed in the form of dialogue between the priests kneeling in front of the closed altar and those beyond the curtain. The curtained altar symbolizes the kingdom of Heaven.
