The Babylonian map of the world, created in the 7th-5th centuries BC and kept in the British Museum, has been presented in a new light by Professor Irving Finkel, Senior Curator of the Department of the Near East at the British Museum. The professor has revealed that the map, preserved on a clay tablet, shows three of the world's oldest states: Babylon, Assyria and Armenia. The British Museum announced the decipherment of the world's oldest map last year.
