The Supreme Spiritual Council issued a statement urging Ruben Vardanyan to end his hunger strike

The meeting of the Supreme Spiritual Council, convened under the chairmanship of His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians, described the sham trials being conducted in Azerbaijan against the political leadership, military personnel and civilians of Artsakh, and the actions taken against Armenian prisoners and hostages, as another manifestation of Azerbaijan's continued hostility and aggression against the Armenian people and Armenia. The Council urged the Armenian authorities to take active and as visible steps as possible in this regard and to use all the opportunities and potential of Armenian and international circles.
