Early this year, the Armenian Diocese of Georgia has filed a suit to the Georgian Court on the issue related to the Holy Mother of God Church. Last June, the Armenian Church along with its lands was transferred to the Georgian Prelacy, which has no justification as such. The Armenian Apostolic Church, as the claimant, has appealed the above-mentioned decision. This case has no precedent in terms of recognition of the historical heritage of the Armenian Church.
