Yevgeny Vakhtangov is one of the greatest directors of the Russian and world theater, a famous theorist and reformer. The Armenian artist lived a short life, but managed to leave an indelible mark on the history of the theater. The combination of grotesque, colorful theatricality and psychological certainty is the greatest feature of Vakhtangov's art.
