40 days after the ceremony of Water Blessing, the Godfather of the Cross, Moscow-based benefactor Hayk Maghakelyan, according to the tradition, solemnly rendered the Cross of Water Blessing to the Patriarch of Armenians in the Mother Church. Traditionally, the Cross has been permanently sheltered at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.
