Beniamin Poghosyan, a participant in the 44-day war, is a native of Gyumri. He graduated from the Yerevan State Academy of Fine Arts. On September 27, 2020, he was in the Mataghis military unit of the Defense Army. They had been warned about the impending war months ago. They were psychologically prepared. On October 2, he was seriously wounded in the legs by shrapnel from an anti-aircraft missile strike in Talish. He had not yet managed to understand the seriousness of his condition when he was wounded a second time by a cluster munition. Later, he learned that 12 of his friends had died and he was the only one who survived. Beniamin underwent 13 surgeries, received long rehabilitation treatment at the Soldier's House. And he met his wife at the Burn Center. Lusine, who helps wounded soldiers in the hospital on a voluntary basis, gave him a new life.
