The village of Machkalashen in the Martuni region of Artsakh and the Amaras monastery became border after a 44-day war. The Azerbaijani positions are located at a maximum distance of 1 km from the Amaras monastery. In front of them are the Armenian position guards. A khachkar dedicated to the martyred boys of Machkalashen was recently blessed in one of the Armenian positions.
