On the day after the Feast of the Assumption of the Holy Mother of God, a Divine Liturgy of Commemoration of the Deceased was celebrated at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin by Archbishop Torgom Tonikyan and a requiem service was held.
According to the doctrine of the Church, death is not the end of a person's existence, but a transition to eternal life, and on Day of the passed souls, the Church unites the living and the deceased through prayer and remembrance.
