Only 20 out of 260 children in four child care and protection boarding schools cannot be in their biological families, the other 240 can live with their families if they receive assistance. The state has allocated half a billion drams from the 2019 budget for the care of those children, which, according to the deputy minister, will be enough to provide day care for 4,000 children. The situation was the same in special schools. As it is known, from the beginning of this academic year, the students of Yerevan special schools, within the framework of the transition to universal inclusion, should be transferred to secondary schools, and the special schools should be reorganized as pedagogical-psychological support centers. The first protest took place on September 2.
