The idea of Armenia's independence, which has always prevailed in Armenian literature, became a reality in 1918 and collapsed very quickly. After the fall of the First Republic, the Soviet republic formed its demands and problems in the literature. Was the idea of an independent state somehow raised in Soviet Armenian literature, was the existence of the First Republic valued as a centuries-old dream realized, and in general, what is the place and role of state's statehood in Soviet Armenian literature?
